Tik Tok has taken over as one of the most popular social media platforms out there. Anyone can share a one-minute video on the app with the hope of going viral. Popular creators are household names in Gen Z culture, and super popular creators even get record deals or cast in movies (you know who I’m talking about). Though the pandemic has allowed maybe an unhealthy amount of Tik Tok consumption, there are some serious benefits to the app. For one, information is so accessible (though misinformation is as well). Sometimes, I learn more on Tik Tok than in my class lectures for the same duration of time.

Because videos can be so widespread, people often try to make informative videos helping others out. It is this side of Tik Tok that I have found myself on many times, and I have to say, a few videos were so convincing that I purchased the product the creator was promoting. These posts aren’t necessarily sponsored, either. That’s what I love about Tik Tok; it really can be a unifying community where people want to share something that has helped them with the world.

With all of that being said, I am going to share my favorite products that Tik Tok made me buy. However, don’t expect to see the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer on this list. I am in college, and my lame Tik Toks with 20 likes aren’t bringing in any cash or sponsorships!

REVLON One-Step Hair Dryer And Volumizer Hot Air Brush

While the Dyson hair dryer is out of my price range, some birthday money helped me cover this REVLON hair dryer brush, and I will never return to a traditional hair dryer. I can now dry my hair in 10 minutes! It is so easy to use and leaves my hair feeling so soft. Plus, it helps me achieve that voluminous, bouncy hair that is so trendy.

e.l.f. Matte Putty Primer

I am obsessed with this primer! It is perfect for my oily skin, and it really does its job all day long. It makes my makeup appear flawless. I truly cannot recommend it more!

Coconut Coffee Body Scrub & Wash

The scent is heavenly, the texture is gentle yet effective, and you get a lot of product for a little price. I cannot emphasize how much I love this scrub/wash duo!

Banana Boat Self-Tanning Lotion

I am not a big self-tanner. Not to brag, but I do get a nice tan in the summer just by being outside. However, when spring break time came around and our school didn’t have one, I got a little jealous of all the other college kids posting from the beach. That FOMO encouraged me to buy this product. For me, it produced a nice, glowy, even tan that I got many compliments on! The only downside is the typical self-tanner scent.

e.l.f. Camo Concealer

I tried the camo concealer before I tried the also famous camo CC cream. I did not love it. It did cover well and blend easily, but it did not like water. If you wear this, do not cry. Or get caught in the rain. Or sweat. Other than that, it was good!
