But I figured if you were going to read my blog and stay up-to-date on my life, thoughts, and travels, you might want to know a little about me.
My name is Katie Cecilia, or k.c., as you know from my poetry account on Instagram (@colorful.life.kc). Writing is my passion. Before that, reading was my passion. Then I read a really bad book (in my opinion) and thought, *this* got published?? I can write a book just as good as this one! So I did.
I am always working on a writing project of some sort. Recently it has been this blog and keeping up with my poetry account, but on top of that I am also steadily working on my 4th book. I write realistic fiction novels for teenage girls. You can call me a John Green wannabe. I hope to one day get my manuscripts published and become a famous young author! (I am not even in college yet).
Because I exercise my brain so often with my writing, I think it is *uber* important to exercise my body, too. I run track and also play tennis. Plus I enjoy hiking in the woods behind my house.
I love inspiration, particularly in the quote form. One of my favorites (because really, who can pick just one?!) is by Mae West:
“You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.”
